When I first saw "Voices of a Distance Star", I was in awe. The sweeping beauty, super detail, and subtle storyline make it one of the greatest short animation films I've seen. More heart breaking than "Grave of the Fireflies" even. The Music is Huun Huur Tu, from Tuva, playing "Fly, Fly my Sadness", an amazing song of monumental melancholy, a perfect accompaniment to the film. I'm proud of how this homage turned out.

Tuvan band, Huun Huur Tu at the Los Angeles Music Center, Oct. 13th 2007. I was able to speak with them a little and have conviced them to post some single samples of thraot singing with the names of the performers and a little description of 'how to'.
