As last year's Mercury Award Nominated album 'The Warning' proved, Hot Chip have an uncanny skill for creating widescreen pop music that pushes the boundaries of what music can be. 'Ready For The Floor' is no exception: a glorious mix of dance floor grooves and folkish pop that is instantly inebriating/intoxicating. ------

[CLEF:] Now that I escape, sleepwalker awake Those who could relate know the world ain't cake Jail bars ain't golden gates Those who fake, they break, When they meet their 400 pound mate If I could rule the world Everyone would have a gun in the ghetto of course When giddyupin' on their horse I Kick a rhyme drinkin' moonshine I pour a sip on the concrete, for the deceased But no don't weep, Wyclef's in a state of sleep Thinkin' 'bout the robbery that I did last week. Money in the bag, banker looked like a drag I want to play with pelicans from here to Baghdad Gun blast, think fast, I think I'm hit My girl pinched my hips to see if I still exist. I think not, I'll send a letter to my friends, A born again hooligan only to be king again. [LAURYN:] I play my enemies like a game of chess, where I rest, No stress If you don't smoke sess, lest. I must confess, my destiny's manifest In some Goretex and sweats I make treks like I'm homeless Rap orgies with Porgy and Bess, Capture your bounty like Elliot Ness, YES Bless you if you represent the Fu But I'll hex you with some witch's brew if you're Doo Doo Voo Doo, I can do what you do, easy, BELIEVE ME Frontin' niggas give me hee-bee-gee-bees So while you're imitating Al Capone I'll be Nina Simone And defacating on your microphone. [Chorus:] Ready Or Not, Here I Come, You Can't Hide Gonna Find You and Take it Slowly [LAURYN'S INTERLUDE] You can't run away From these styles I got, oh baby, hey baby Cause I got a lot, oh yeah And anywhere you go My whole crew's gonna know You can't hide from the block, oh no. [PRAZ:] Ready or not, refugees takin' over The Buffalo soldier, dread-lock rhasta On the twelfth hour, fly by in my bomber Crews run for cover, now they're under pushin' up flowers Superfly true lies, do or die, Toss me high - only puff la, With my crew from lock high I refugee from Guantanamo Bay Dance around the border like I'm Cassius Clay [Chorus (Lauryn) REPEAT 3X:] Ready Or Not, Here I Come, You Can't Hide Gonna Find You and Take it Slowly Ready Or Not, Here I Come, You Can't Hide Gonna Find You and Make You Want Me

The music video for "Ready Steady Go" by Paul Oakenfold. Rare video, great to watch. Love the song.

Curtis Mayfield in a poignant performance from Night Music. Taylor Dane performs backing vocals.

The video is also a bit different than the Ready To Go original version. There are few alternate scenes in this one.

Sorry if this is just a little bit out of sync at some parts. The DVD with this video on it only had a black and white version, so sorry, no color. Lyrics: never met a girl who makes me feel the way that you do. (You're alright) Whenever I'm asked who makes my dreams real, I say that you do. (You're outta sight) So, fee-fi-fo-fum Look out baby, 'cause here I come. And I'm bringing you a love that's true. So get ready, so get ready. I'm gonna try to make you love me too. So get ready, so get ready 'cause here I come. (Get ready 'cause here I come) I'm on my way. (Get ready 'cause here I come) If you wanna play hide and seek with love, let me remind you (It's alright) But the lovin' you're gonna miss and the time it take to find you (It's outta sight) So, fiddley-dee, fiddley-dum Look out baby, 'cause here I come. And I'm bringing you a love that's true. So get ready, so get ready. I'm gonna try to make you love me too. So get ready, so get ready 'cause here I come. (Get ready 'cause here I come) I'm on my way. (Get ready 'cause here I come) (Get ready) [Instrumental] If all my friends should want you too, I'll understand it. (Be alright) I hope I get to you before they do, the way I planned it. (Be outta sight) So tiddley-dee, tiddley-dum Look out baby, 'cause here I come. And I'm bringing you a love that's true. So get ready, so get ready. I'm gonna try to make you love me too. So get ready, so get ready 'cause here I come. (Get ready 'cause here I come) I'm on my way. (Get ready 'cause here I come) (Get ready 'cause here I come-a) (Get ready)

please, stop sending messages like you think i'm a extremist that's going to shoot all the bad guys and save the planet, because im not. you don't know a thing about me, and i dont believe this video has anything to do with me. and another thing, dont tell me that we have the right to slaughter animals because "the lord" or the "sun god" (whatever you might believe) laid it all out for us to use as we please. not true. please, try sticking to real issues, and dont bring "the lord" into anything, because then it'll just mess everything up, and people may or may not start attacking you because of your religion, and then we get completely off subject and into an arguement over what is god, and what is man. im not a religion-hater, it's just a very touchy subject with many people. i didnt post this to make you all go veg* ...please stop accusing me of pushing it on to you..i'm a meat eater..i posted this because rise against is awesome, and i thought there might be a few people who would like to see what really goes on. and no im not in anyway associated with PETA. i dont agree with EVERY single thing in this video, and i can't fully understand all of it. there is a clip of two hunters in this video. hunting for food is better than factories and mass slaughtering, and it's the way it should be. hunting just for the sport, is plain wrong. i dont have many opinions on hunting, because i have never actually done so. if you have any opinions about anything, feel free to share. i will listen as long as it can be turned into a conversation. if you message me thinking you are the world's very first know-all genious that everyone should bow down to, chances are, i'll laugh and delete it. this video...causes a lot of anger and sadness...if you dont believe me, you can read through the 180 pages of comments, arguements, debates and some stupidity. thats all.

TRACE ADKINS Rough And Ready

Our new album is here "Seven Songs For America (And One For The World)" www.BergevinBrothersMusic.com Due to the overwhelming response for our music, we've gone on to write seven more original songs. The songs will feature Pastor Patrinell (Pat) Wright and the 'Total Experience Gospel Choir', Pearl Jam's Matt Cameron and a host of other talented musicians. Available at www.bergevinbrothersmusic.com "Why Obama?" Three brothers share their story. In December 2007, when Barack Obama came to Seattle, Joe Bergevin and his family went to listen to him speak. At one point, Joe's daughter Chloe broke through the rope line and stood in front of the Senator. He commented on her, saying, "Come on up honey, it's OK, you can come up here." While she (being 1 year old) declined, Joe shook hands with Barack after the event, and commented to him, "I think you're going to get the job done." Barack replied to Joe, "With your help I will, with your help." At that moment, Joe felt he had been charged with a challenge, and started to think of how he could apply his skills to the task of helping get Barack Obama elected. Within a few weeks, Joe was watching the video feed online of Barack Obama and Oprah together on stage and inspiration set in. That day, Obama told a story about one person, Edith Childs, who energized others with a "fired up, ready to go," chant at one of his campaign stops. Inspired by Obama's "One voice can change the world" speech, Joe wrote some lyrics and rough chords that same day, then called his brother Jon to help him finish and arrange the song. The song is named after Edith's chant. After many phone calls, emails, and sleepless nights, they had assembled the team. Ten days later an epic recording was born with the intention of spreading Obama's hopeful message. Contributors include lead singer Reverend Pat Wright and her renowned Total Experience Gospel Choir, drummer Matt Cameron from Pearl Jam, lead singer Jake Bergevin, other top studio musicians, sound engineers, video teams, photographers, caterers, local news teams and a renovated theater with recording studio. From the first word written to the last note performed, this entirely donated and collective effort demonstrates Senator Obama's unifying message and Americans' desire to act on it. We were in awe of how freely people said, "Yes!" to this project. His words "For that is our unyielding faith-that in the face of impossible odds, people who love their country, can change it" demonstrate that great leaders motivate others. Barack is a great leader. "I would have never imagined participating in an event like this, suddenly having a bunch of people come together on behalf of a political candidate; contributing immediately, so fully and unconditionally," said Stephan Schier, one of the project contributors. Edith Childs said in the Greenwood Index Journal "I just had no idea that something done spontaneously would go this far -- in a good way," Childs said. "But as far as the song, I think it's cool. And I'm going to go online and see the (music) video when it comes out. But look, I did (the chant) in June, and I had no idea this is where we'd be on January 25." Now, the song is included on a new album inspired by Obama's candidacy called 'Seven Songs for America (And One for the World)'. Music video of the hit Ready To Go, by Republica. From around 1995.

the newest video from the dixie chicks!!! "not ready to make nice"

Manassas, Virginia, 11/3/08 Obama: Finally we get to Greenwood. We pull up -- first of all, you don't know you're in Greenwood right away when you get to Greenwood, there aren't a lot of tall buildings there. We pull up to a small building, a field house in the park. We go inside. And lo and behold, after an hour and a half drive, turns out there are twenty people there. Twenty people, and they all look kind of damp and kind of sleepy, like maybe they aren't really excited to be there either. But you know, I am a professional. Ive got to do what I got to do. [applause] So I go around, I'm shaking hands, I'm saying how ya doing, what are ya doing? [applause] Wait, wait. As I go around the room suddenly I hear this voice cry out behind me, "Fired Up!" And Im shocked. I jump up. I dont know what's going on. But everybody else acts like this is normal and they say, "fired up." Then I hear this voice say, "ready to go!" And the other twenty people in the room, they act like this happens all the time, they say ready to go. I don't know what's going on. So I look behind me, and there's this small woman, about sixty years old, a little over five feet. It looks like she just came from church, got a big church hat. [laughter] And she's standing there and she looks at me and shes smiling. And she says, "fired up!" Turns out she is a city councilwoman from Greenwood who also moonlights as a private detective -- I'm not making this up. [laughter] And it turns out she is famous for her chant. She does this wherever she goes, she says "fired up!" and everybody says "ready to go, ready to go." So for the next five minutes she proceeds to do this, "fired up" everybody says "ready to go." And I'm standing there and I'm thinking that I am being outflanked by this woman here. She's stealing my thunder. I look at my staff, they shrug their shoulders, they don't know how long this is going to go. But here's the thing, Virginia -- after a minute or so, I'm feeling kind of fired up. [applause] I'm feeling like I'm ready to go. So I join in the chant. And it feels good. And for the rest of the day, even after we left Greenwood, even though it was still raining, even though I was still not getting big crowds anywhere, even though we hadn't gotten the endorsements of the people we were hoping for, somehow I felt a little lighter, I felt a little better. I'd see my staff, Id say, are you fired up? Theyd say wetre fired up boss, are you ready to go? Heres my point, Virginia -- that's how this thing started. It shows you what one voice can do. One voice can change a room; and if a voice can change a room, it can change a city; and if it can change a city it can change a state; and if change a state, it can change a nation; and if it can change a nation, it can change the world! Virginia, your voice can change the world tomorrow! [applause] In 21 hours, if you are willing, if you are willing to endure some rain, if you are willing to drag that person you know who was not going to vote to the polls, if youre willing to organize and volunteer in the offices, if you are willing to stand with me, if you are willing to fight with me, I know that your voice will matter. So I've just got one question for you, Virginia. Are you fired up? ["Yeah"] Are you ready to go? ["Yeah"] Fired up? ["Fired Up!"] Ready to go? ["Ready to Go!"] Fired up? ["Fired Up!"] Ready to go? ["Ready to Go!"] Fired up? ["Fired Up!"] Ready to go? ["Ready to Go!"] Virginia, let's go change the world. Thank you. God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.

Max Blumenthal's latest takes us on a shocking and at times bizarre tour of right-wing Pastor John Hagee's annual Washington-Israel Summit, blowing the cover off the Christian Zionist movement in the process. Starring Joe Lieberman, Tom DeLay, Pastor John Hagee, Ambassador Dore Gold and a host of rapture-ready evangelicals praying for Armaggedon.
